Would your students like to participate in a virtual student bowl competition? The student bowl competition is an engaging and interactive method of preparing students for the national certification exam. This interactive activity fosters teamwork and confidence among the students, while broadening their medical laboratory science knowledge. Conducting the competition in virtual format allows any interested team to participate, regardless of location.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Describe and simulate the overall format of a virtual MLT/MLS student bowl game.
- Recommend the timeline to follow to conduct a virtual MLT/MLS student bowl competition.
- Discuss the advantages of MLT/MLS students engaging in this virtual activity.
ASCLS is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. ® Program. One-half (0.5) P.A.C.E. ® contact hour in the area of Education (General) will be awarded to participants. ASCLS P.A.C.E.® is accepted by the ASCP/ASCLS/AGT Board of Certification and all states, including Florida and California, as an approved provider of continuing education for recertification and licensure. ASCLS is an approved provider with CE Broker for Florida licensees.
