This presentation will provide an overview of the legal and compliance risks laboratories face, including a summary of the pertinent health care fraud and abuse laws that may be enforced against laboratories. This presentation provides examples of recent enforcement actions taken against laboratories.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to
- Identify operational and legal risk areas facing laboratories
- Summarize the pertinent health care fraud and abuse laws governing laboratories
- identify ways to minimize fraud and abuse risk
