This session will review the design and implementation of a budget-friendly teaching tool for integrating multidisciplinary laboratory skills and concepts used prior to students entering their clinical rotations. This summative activity provides students with the opportunity to review key concepts and skills in all major disciplines, as well as assists faculty in gauging student readiness for clinical rotations.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Assess a teaching tool that reviews major laboratory skills before students enter their clinical rotations
- Identify activities for the comprehensive lab final that promote integration of theory and practice across MLS classes.
- Evaluate student outcomes in comprehensive lab review and correlate with student readiness for clinical practica.
