Challenging Hematopathology Case Studies

The classification of hematopoietic tumors relies on morphology, immunophenotype, genetic and clinical features to define the disease. This presentation will focus on each of these aspects using a case study format.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the testing algorithm involved in Hematologic neoplasms.
  • Classify the acute leukemias based on recurrent cytogenetic abnormalities.
  • Summarize the value of immunophenotyping.
