The classification of hematopoietic tumors
relies on morphology, immunophenotype, genetic and clinical features to define
the disease. This presentation will focus on each of these aspects using a case
study format.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this presentation,
participants will be able to:
- Identify the testing algorithm involved in Hematologic neoplasms.
- Classify the acute leukemias based on recurrent cytogenetic abnormalities.
- Summarize the value of immunophenotyping.
