Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, the attendee will be able to:

  1. Implement practical techniques to promote allyship and foster a sense of belonging among employees with varying identities.
  2. Discuss the concept of allyship and its role in creating inclusive workplaces where individuals feel supported and valued.
  3. Identify strategies to recognize and mitigate unconscious bias in day-to-day interactions and organizational practices.

    Gabrielle Davis is the Racial Equity and Food Justice manager for the National Co-op of Grocers. Gabby completed two graduate degrees: one in public health and the other in mental health counseling. Gabby is also the owner of a part-time mental health practice, Equitable Counseling and Consulting, where she provides probono and sliding scale therapeutic services Additionally, she has been a registered respiratory therapist for over 15 years. In her free time, Gabby enjoys dispelling myths about allyship and reminding people that addiction is a disease and not a choice. Gabby lives in Michigan with her wife and her wife’s dog and enjoys ruffling feathers whenever the opportunity presents itself. Community is Gabby’s love language.
